DNS caching in XLR/XLD

This is more about how JVM handles the DNS caching rather than xl-release/deploy.
If you haven’t customized XLR wrapper for JVM flag than by default it is picked via global java security setting forex

$ cat jdk1.8.0_201/jre/lib/security/java.security |grep ttl
#networkaddress.cache.ttl=-1
networkaddress.cache.negative.ttl=10

If you want to customize as APP level then follow below:
You can do that by updating the Java Service Wrapper configuration file, XLR_HOME/conf/xlr-wrapper-win.conf or XLR_HOME/conf/xlr-wrapper-linux.conf depending on your underlying platform, and add the following line:

wrapper.java.additional.XX=-Dnetworkaddress.cache.ttl=0
Replace XX with the next sequence number.

Restart XLR/D

Hope this help
